| SUNSHINE CAT WINS WORLD VETERINARY DAY 2019 TROPHY RACE AT CAYMANAS PARK
Caymanas Park, Saturday April 27, 2019:
The annual World Veterinary Day Trophy race for 2019, held under the sponsorship of the Jamaica Veterinary Board, was won by Sunshine Cat - ronically the only horse in the race with an animal-related name. Bred, owned and trained by Carl "Cat" Anderson and ridden by champoin jockey Anthony Thomas, the colt powered away to win by half a length.
The trophy was presented to Mr. Anderson by JVB Chairman and veteran equine veterinarian Dr. St. Aubyn Bartlett, in the presence of Board member Dr. Clover Mattocks, JVB Registrar Dr. Sophia Ramlal and other members of the veterinary community.
