| JVMA World Vet Day Race at Caymanas Park April 26, 2015, |

| Another World Veterinary Day weekend has seen the running of a race at Caymanas Park in tribute to the Jamaican veterinary community. The Jamaica Veterinary Medical Association World Veterinary Day Trophy Race was run at 1:45 PM on Sunday April 26, 2015, and saw Shining Light (Shamaree Muir, jockey) romping his way to victory over the field. Second, third and fourth went to Turbo Machine Cat (C. Lynch), Wings of Hope (O. White) and Pizzaro (O. Walker) respectively.
A number of veterinarians were on hand for the presentation of the trophy by JVMA President Dr. Kevin Walker to owner and trainer Mr. Gary Griffiths. Shining Light is a 3 year old chestnut colt out of Seeking the Glory, out of Bachelor of Arts by Maverick.
